Berkshire Sensual Creative Anniversary

Berkshire Sensual Feminine Anniversary Present for Partner

This growing collection of beautiful sensual boudoir photos is not actually for men, it is for women with a special man in their lives. It is for a woman who wants to give a beautiful, sensual present to that very special man in their life, typically fiancés, husbands and partners. This form of photography is sometimes referred to as Boudoir Photography and typically does not contain nudity. Bridal Boudoir Photos are particularly popular these days with the groom receiving a luxurious album of stunning sensual photographs on his wedding day.

These are the results from a series of boudoir photo shoots in Bracknell, Berkshire with model Hannah Forrest. I used it to develop posing, lighting and photography techniques as well as to extend both our portfolios. She wanted new and different photographs from those taken by other photographers and was very pleased with these.

Here are some other examples of Boudoir type photograpy.

Elemental – Studio Flash

dsc_0018A successful working studio run by award winning, Danny James in Bedford. Danny greeted me warmly and over a cup of coffee started talking to me about what type of photography I was doing. He happily shared all sorts of information with me even though I am a potential competitor. This covered equipment, suppliers, software, hardware and techniques.

I had arranged and paid for studio tuition with Danny and a model (Leander) so I could see how all the different equipment worked in practise and then I had a couple of hours using the equipment on my own, with advice available from Danny when I wanted it. Here are a few shots with her. Continue reading Elemental – Studio Flash…

Any resemblance to people you know is entirely coincidental and the views expressed through these photographs should not be attributed to anyone else but to my imagination.

The photographs were taken using only natural light from one side of the room, giving very high contrast. Two prime lenses 50mm f/1.4 and 85mm f/1.8 were used at ISO200 and hand held speeds ranging from 1/20s to 1/60s.

The brightness, contrast and softness of each photograph was adjusted in PhotoShop to create the desired effects. The mistiness was created by duplicating the layer, blurring it and reducing the opacity.

The photographs were deliberate underexposed to maintain a sense of foreboding darkness.

Nikon CLS – Portraits Using Speedlights in Home Lounge Studio

nikon-sb800-speedlight-cls-flashgunNikon have developed a wireless Speedlight (flashgun) Control System called CLS, Creative Lighting System.

Using infra-red the SU800 Commander controls the Nikon speedlights remotely. The control can be either Manual or TTL (Through The Lens). When the shutter button is pressed, the commander unit tells the remote speedlights to fire small flashes. The camera measures the light reaching the lens from each flashgun and calculates the power required from each speedlight to expose the picture correctly. It then transmits this to each speedlight and fires them.

Some Nikon cameras like the D300 can use the built in flashgun to do the job of the SU800 Commander Unit. The settings are controlled through the menu, which is easy enough, but does take more time than the SU800 Commander Unit. Read Ken Rockwell’s review on the SU800
